The 4th annual Coober Pedy Gem Trade Show will this year coincide with several other local events over the Easter Long Weekend, with the annual Opal Festival and 50th Anniversary of the Coober Pedy Area School promising to provide hundreds of visitors with a myriad of entertainment over the 3 days.

This year's event, held on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th at the Greek Orthodox Hall, will again host numerous local and national exhibitors, providing a professional environment for robust trade and an opportunity to showcase high quality opals and gems at trade prices.

The Gem Trade Show will comprise of 11 booths, both corner and standard which will afford exhibitors and buyers privacy to view the products on offer, as well tables at the rear of the venue.

Previous Gem Trade Shows have attracted local, national and international buyers and with the ongoing support of Austrade, will ensure a contingent of international buyers return to Coober Pedy for the upcoming event. Following the success of last years business dinner, exhibitors and international buyers will be able to meet in a relaxed environment with the aim to further establish business networks, hosted by the 2010 Gem Trade Show Committee.

The Coober Pedy Gem Trade Show continues to develop into one of the premier national trade shows, and the 2010 event promises to further add to the growing reputation of the region as the ‘Opal Capital of the World'.
