The annual Coober Pedy Gem Trade Show will be held over two days, beginning on Friday 24th July, 2009 and concluding the following evening on Saturday 25th July 2009. Held in the Greek Orthodox Community Hall, the Gem Trade Show will provide local sellers the opportunity to showcase their products to local, national and international buyers between 10am and 5pm Friday and 9am and 5pm Saturday.

With an emphasis on trade, only registered buyers will be admitted to the Trade Show between 9am and 12pm on Saturday following a Business Dinner hosted by the Gem Trade Show Committee on Friday evening. The dinner will provide an invaluable opportunity for booth holders and International buyers to network in a relaxed environment in the aim of forging valuable business contacts.

With the ongoing assistance of Tradestart, it is anticipated that up to 20 International buyers will attend the 2 day event which will include 14 booths, 5 of which will be deluxe booths providing privacy for buyers and sellers. This is in addition to the numerous stalls located within and surrounding the hall.

The Coober Pedy Gem Trade Show continues to develop into one of the premier Trade Shows within Australia and the 2009 Show promises to further add to the growing reputation of the region as the 'Opal Capital of the World'.
